The posada receives it's name as a tribute to General San Martin.
Paso de los Patos is the main path where the army of the Andes crossed the mountain chain to liberate Chile and later Peru.
The Posada respects the architectural line of the Cuyo region in Argentina and it is set with a rustic and cozy style.
The social area has WiFi internet connection and a direct view of the Andes to disconnect from everything.
During summer time, the swimming pool is the ideal place to cool down and listen to the water running through the canals.

Horseback riding, mountain biking, trekking, hiking, 4x4 excursions, rafting in the river "Los Patos",fishing, astronomic tourism, visits to the Parque Nacional El Leoncito, and carrovelismo in the Pampa del Leoncito.

Our restaurant offers a variety of exquisite home made food
elaborated in our own kitchen, so that when you sit down for a meal at our table, you can experience something special.
For those who take pleasure in eating simple but delicious food, we invite to enjoy breakfast, lunch, tea or dinner.
The restaurant is open daily, except december 23,24,25 and 26, for guests and for anyone who wants to visit us.

Barreal is the same distance from the city of San Juan as from the city of Mendoza (220 km.). So if you fly from Buenos Aires, both options are convenient. Barreal from San Juan: Route 40 to Jachal, turn left in Talacasto in route 436 and then take nation
